Европейское Средневековье и русский модернизм / The European Middle Ages and Russian Modernism

The volume contains the proceedings of the international conference “The European Middle Ages and Russian Literary Culture 1880-1930” (26-29 October 2022, University of Salerno). Scholars from Bulgaria, England, France, Georgia, Italy, Russia, Ukraine and USA analyse, within a broad historical and cultural context, the refraction of the European Middle Ages in Russian modernism between 1880 and 1930 from the perspective of East Slavic comparative literature studies, categories of culture, artistic genres, personal receptions in poetry and translations of the Dante’s Divine Comedy, as well as from the perspective of the boundary between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The volume contains Ellis’s unpublished correspondence.
