Maria Touri

Maria Touri is an Associate Professor at the School of Media, Communication and Sociology, University of Leicester, UK. Her research interests are in the area of Communication for Social Change (CfSC) in the context of the global food economy, and the role of ICTs, voice and representation in sustainable development. She is the author of Sustainable Development and Communication in Global Food Networks: Lessons from India, (Palgrave Macmillan) and she has published in international journals including Geoforum, the Journal of International Communication, Development in Practice, and Journalism: Theory, Practice and Criticism.
